This large-scale mural project transformed Liberty Plaza in downtown Ann Arbor into a lively reflection of the city’s character and culture. Spanning more than 25 walls, the design highlights our signature geometric style, which adapts seamlessly to the long, low surfaces that define the plaza.

The artwork celebrates Ann Arbor’s natural and cultural identity. Native plants and wildflowers extend across the walls, while imagery of canoes and kayaks nods to the deep connection residents share with the Huron River. References to the concerts and performances held in the park weave in another layer of local tradition, honoring Liberty Plaza’s role as a gathering space for the community.

This project was made possible through the support of the Ann Arbor Arts Center, the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority, and the Ann Arbor Parks Department, whose collaboration ensured that Liberty Plaza continues to serve as a welcoming and inspiring public space.
