Tailin'
Clearwater, Florida
25'x120'
Tailin’ is a mural completed in 2024 in partnership with the City of Clearwater, Florida. The artwork wraps around a municipal water tank and features two redfish, tails raised above the water as they forage in a mangrove environment. This natural behavior—known as “tailing”—is a sign of a healthy coastal ecosystem.
Our goal with this mural was to celebrate and draw attention to Florida’s vital mangrove habitats, which serve as nurseries for marine life, protect shorelines, and filter coastal waters. By highlighting native species and their behaviors, we hope to foster a deeper appreciation for the ecosystems that surround and support our communities.
Tailin’ was honored as the 2024 Runner-Up in Tnemec’s national Tank of the Year competition.
